Many of our colleagues, friends, and co-advocates from across the United States are in Washington DC to participate in a massive rally to "Save Medicaid". The Republicans, pushed by their friends in the Tea Party are threatening to trash Medicaid and other safety-net, no NOT SAFETY-NET - but programs that form the basis of the American commitment to the COMMON GOOD.
We are asking everyone to make 2 PHONE CALLS today.
You Can Help the Cause on Wednesday! While people nationwide rally and make visits on the Hill, please contact our Senators, urging them to support Medicaid and not sacrifice people's health and well being for deficit reduction.
Thank Senator John Kerry for past support of Medicaid and urge that he not accept cuts to the program as a member of the Super Committee: call him in Boston at 617-565-8519 and/or in Washington at 202-224-2742.
Ask Senator Scott Brown to support Medicaid and to object to cuts in any deficit reduction plan: call him in Boston at 617-565-3170 and/or in Washington at 202-224-4543.
