Advancing Careers through Connection:

The Peer Employment Network

Would you like to advance in your line of work or start a new career?

Would you like to expand your network of business contacts?

If the answer is yes, then we invite you to come to the first meeting of the

Peer Employment Network to make new contacts and learn about career advancement, reasonable accommodations and other issues relevant to individuals with disabilities interested in maximizing their employment opportunities.

Our goal is to establish a self-directed group of people with disabilities who are interested in developing careers. You will have the opportunity to network, listen to informative guest speakers, and to help develop the identity and future format of the Network. Our first meeting is Wednesday, 10/14 at 6:00 p.m. at 20 Park Plaza, 13th floor Boston, MA. This session will cover developing effective accommodations and other issues. Our guest speaker(s) will include Tom Murphy, Staff Attorney- The Disability Law Center and, Laura Zirpolo Stout, Director and Business Advisor- Blue Cross/Blue Shield MA.

Networking has been shown to be the MOST EFFECTIVE way for people to find jobs and develop careers. If you are a working person with a disability or, you are actively seeking employment and would like to connect to people with similar interests, you owe it to yourself not to miss this opportunity.
