OUR Day

Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind

 

The economy is bad now, but the good news is we have the opportunity to prepare and make ourselves VISIBLE and WELL KNOWN!!   When the economy improves, we want the legislature to know us and our needs.  We want them to be prepared to give funds to our programs and our services.

 

February 23rd 2010 is OUR time!

9:00-3:00

 

AGENDA

 

9:00 Meet on the 4th Floor - Continental Breakfast

10:00 Speakers and Program

11:00 Meet up with group leaders to review process

11:30-12:30: Brown bag lunch and discussion of afternoon visits with legislators

12:30-3:00 Meetings with legislators

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW:

Please look up your State Representative and Senator and RSVP to Nini Silver by February 16th with their names.  Go to www.wheredoivotema.com to find out who they are. I will contact them and set up meetings. 

 

Groups will go around and meet with Representatives and Senators. Groups will be set up by region.  (North, South, Middle, West, and Boston).Each group will have a leader. There will be 4-5 people in each group. If you would like to be a group leader, please let me know.

 

ALL GROUPS WILL HAVE INTERPRETERS
